About 3 C.O.W. Belles...
Who are we?
We are three women from the same family who have share a passion for creating our own handmade goods, be they scrumptuous cakes, practical and pretty sewn goods or gorgeous jewellery. We also have a soft spot for specialty products that are hard to obtain in Australia (eg. training chopsticks, baking accessories).
What do we do?
We are sharing some of our interests with you through our own label, 3 C.O.W Belles. By doing this, we hope to earn some additional income for ourselves (no surprises there!), and have time to indulge guilt-free in our interests :) As such, we have included a "catalogue" of items that we are happy to provide you with - products we think are practical and beautiful, which we hope our friends and family will enjoy as well. We have also included FAQ for specific product segments to provide more information for you. Our "showcase" is continually being updated, and is by no means extensive, so please feel free to challenge us in our craft to make something beautiful, practical or unique, just for you!
Why are we doing this?
We are inspired by "the Woman who fears the Lord", spoken of in the Bible, in Proverbs 31:10-31. She is a superwoman (!!) who is able to look after her family, provide for her family's needs and extend her arms to those in need. We hope to do likewise :) In addition to our motivation for creating our own label, we also hope to donate a portion of any profits generated to those in need. In particular, we would love to give donations to Gospel for Asia to provide sewing machines to ladies in South Asia so that they too, may be able to provide for their families as God has enabled us to do. (To read more about "the Woman who fears the Lord", refer to an extract of the passage below. If you would like to find out more about Gospel for Asia, click here).
So are we a business?
No. Given our current life circumstances, we do not have the capacity to run 3 C.O.W. Belles as a business. For us, our priority is our relationship with God and with our families, and we feel that if we were to run a business at the present time, it would be to the detriment of our family life. We want to have some fun with our label and to have a good excuse to spend some time doing our hobbies that we love! If circumstances change in the future, we may investigate the possibility of running this as a business.
How long will it take to fulfil an order?
As we are not a business, any "stock" of items we have is our own private collection. Bearing this in mind, it may sometimes take us a while to be able to fulfil any orders if we do not have stock on hand of specific items as requested, but we will let you know a time-frame whenever any orders are placed. As a general guide, we do prefer at least 1-2 weeks notification to fulfil orders, as we may be required to purchase materials to fulfil your orders. Hence, some of the prices we have included are only indicative (particularly with the sewn goods), as the final price for items will depend on how much we can buy materials for. As we are not a business, we are unfortunately not entitled to bulk/wholesale buy-ins for stock, so please bear this in mind. For any cake enquiries, please email us directly for a quote, as it is difficult to give a general pricing guide for these products depending on your specifications (eg. size, type of cake, complexity of decorations, etc).
Where are we based?
We are located in private premises with Brisbane's South-Eastern suburbs. Arrangements for collection of products can be made by emailing us directly.
Can we post your items?
While our initial focus is on Brisbane area, we are happy to post non-perishable goods to you at your expense via Australia Post. Please email us directly for a Postage and Handling quote if needed.
How can we contact you?
Email us at: 3cowbelles@gmail.com. We do not have a dedicated phone line or postal address for our label, but we are prompt with our email replies - just try us and see for yourself!
Proverbs 31: 10-31 NIV
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.
She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
